mostly pink, Wednesday.
Happy Wednesday!
This week has been really crazy. I don't even want to go on social media or my blog about it, but let's just say one of my pets got injured and life has been topsy-turvy all week caring for it.
It's a sprint to the weekend, the holidays are JUST AROUND the corner, and we have a whopping 3 parties AND the new Star Wars Movie Premiere to go to so life keep you moving, no matter where your head or heart might be...
I got this skirt a few weeks ago and I haven't worn it yet because I was honestly pretty dissapointed that it was described as red and looked red in all the pictures but it is clearly bright pink, as you can see!
Still, the fit is great, I love prairie vibe, it it just so happens to EXACTLY match the color of my top! It looks like a dress! Crazy, huh? So I decided to keep it and enjoy it because it still has a place in my closet, pink or red.
I'm doing a monochromatic round for my #decembrights challenge and would love to have you play along, DO check it out on my instagram!
I last wore my pink parka HERE on a rainy day with a pink dress and black boots and leggings!
I last wore my peasant top HERE for some fun 60's vibes with clogs and wide leg split jeans!
I last wore my cactus backpack HERE with a cute pink heart cut out top and go-to white denim skirt!
I've never worn my short cowboy boots on the blog, but I've had them for something like ten years! They are extremely sentimental to me because I was wearing them when my husband first said he loves me!
I bought them for a high price but still heavily reduced cost at Anthropologie all those years ago when traveling to DC for a cousin's birthday party! I do really like that they have shearling inside because they keep my feet pretty toasty.
I'm wearing: beret-ebay, sunglasses-balenciaga, backpack-kate spade, parka-somedays lovin' (poshmark), top-ae outfitters (thrifted), skirt-anthropologie (poshmark), boots-bed stu (anthropologie)
This is my first and only pair of Bed Stu boots, they are definitely really nice and high quality, but pretty expensive! I think I definitely have enough cowgirl boots for now but if I WAS in the market, I would definitely buy either:
THESE amazing snake and heart embellished boots...
or THESE that I've wanted for years, that have beautiful roses, cacti AND cow skulls! Ugh, they are so stunning but so expensive. Still, they are currently the lowest price I've ever seen but I struggle to spend more than $130 on any single pair of shoes!
Have you ever bought Junk Gypsy by Lane boots? They look incredible but I've never seen them in person.
Do you like Bed Stu for shoes and leather goods?
Do you wear a lot of shearling lined shoes this time of year?
What's your favorite color to use for a monochrome look?
Hope you're having a nice week! xx
I love this monochrome look and your backpack is so cute!
