saguaro style: bright whites.

Image
The last time I wore this allover cactus print tee was with another saguaro themed outfit HERE it had bright pops of pink and green and was super fun! Last time I wore this skirt, didn't have to go back too far because I'm obsessed with it and wear it all of the time! It is probably one of my favorite skirts of all time! HERE is the skirt last time I wore it with a mustard themed outfit!  PROOF that it was actually windy today! Look at my hair! It was not staged! I'm wearing: tee-j.crew (secondhand), skirt-COH 'amelia', bag-betsey johnson (poshmark), clogs-sven clogs HERE  The #simplystyledjuly post theme today was 'great white' so it seemed like a good challenge to go as bright white as I could with some really fun pieces and tie it all together with my love for cacti! I hope you're having a great week! It's time for me to wash my hair and hopefully get the energy to straighten again sometime soon because I just feel so glamorous with

strawberries & blue skies.

A pretty simple casual weekday look with one of two pairs of shorts that I wear on repeat all summer and one of my favorite tops, that you last saw HERE with a snack of real strawberries and some rose embroidered jeans (same shoes). I last wore the shorts HERE in a romper-inspired outfit.   I'm wearing: bag-vince camuto. clogs-sven X loeffler randall, top-anthropologie, shorts-cynthia rowley   Are you having a nice week? I hope so! I'm honestly slightly excited for the  Bachelorette  finale tonight even though this season has been a dumpster fire...xx

shark week.

Why not make shark week EVEN more exciting with my first DIY on my blog ? I am far, far, far, from a DIY Queen but I do have skills and a knack with shoes and clogs so most of my successful DIYs were shoe related! This one is one of my favorite DIYs I've ever done. Here are all the EASY steps I did to do my DIY! 1. Buy a pair of clearance baby pink ballet inspired heels from Aldo 4 years ago for $25 on Amazon. They are currently $18 in size 7.5 HERE and you may be able to find them on eBay or Poshmark!  2. Wear Aldo ballet pumps until the baby pink is horribly stained (and has been brushed out to no avail) and the ribbons go completely ratty after 3.5 years. 3. Leave sitting in your closet for six months and debate whether or not you want to sell them in As-Is condition. 4. Decided that you don't have any navy shoes at all and already have Navy Leather Dye (buy HERE ) so why not try to refresh your Aldo pumps you used to love so much? 5. Using a sponge brush,

celebration dress.

If you know my sensibilities, you know I'm not really into dresses that need shapewear to sit just right but I DO wear them occasionally when it's a party or celebration! I got this one from that boutique shopping trip last week and I love it! It doesn't feel as super tight/fitted as other dresses like this because it has stretch panels and a lot of ruche effects throughout. It is one of my favorite colros and was perfect for my husband's birthday dinner at our fave bar!  I'm wearing: sunglasses-old, pacsun, dress-boutique, clogs-Swedish Hasbeens 'gypsy', bag-vince camuto 'chica'   I will admit, it was not the most practical look for an hour of glow putt mini golf, but I just kind of went with the flow and felt very extra and overdressed on the putting (florescent) green in my dancing heels! What is your go-to party look? xx

spot on.

I just got this beautiful navy summer dress (made in Italy, by an Italian brand) at a fancy boutique with my mom last week, on clearance. I love how airy it is and it definitely has that retro, pin up vibe. I think it would be great to travel with also. I plan on bringing it to NY next month! I also got this clearance Maguba Florence clogs that I have been eyeing for about a year on their Etsy. You can find them HERE . I just really love how the Florence style looks like a heart!  This weekend is the birthday wrap up for my hubby. We are doing a big group dinner at our fave bar tomorrow night and we also have a painter and car window repair guy coming so should be pretty busy! It's been SO hot but the pool definitely helps me feel less melty.   I'm wearing : dress-boutique, bag-liebskind berlin (thrifted), sunglasses-anthropologie, clogs-maguba 'florence' I hope you're having a great weekend! xx

most comfortable style.

Image
Hello, and happy Thursday! Today's #simplystyledjuly style prompt is 'comfort is key' and for me as soon as you ask me what I am most comfortable in this summer, I will tell you: "blue plaid dresses" and the proof is in the pudding, since I have 3 right now in rotation for one of my go-to looks this summer! This one is ultra comfy with it's deep pockets, modest length, flattering elastic waist and side ties, and cute detail of a v-back cut. I love it! I last wore it HERE  (on the blog) and try to wear it with different clogs and accessories for a slightly different vibe.  I'm wearing: dress-anthropologie, clogs-sven clogs HERE  (black leather with red suede accent bow), sunglasses-balenciaga (thrifted), cat cameo necklace-amazon, bag-liebskind berlin (thrifted) What is your most comfortable style for the summer? xx
