sandgrens & saguaros.

Image
Today, I'm wearing my Sandgrens clogs & my saguaro print tee that my mom gave me. I was wearing a turtleneck sweater this morning but it really heated up in the afternoon so I just threw on my Spring bomber jacket I got on a whim last year after seeing a blogger with a really similar one and falling in love with it! It's so light and girly but still has fun bomber jacket details so it's about as close to atheleisure as I'll probably get---I'm definitely NOT into dad sneakers or sweats at all! I kind of have a love/hate relationship with these red slacks because I love how they fit but hate that they don't have real pockets and the side zip is pretty annoying when you have to go to the bathroom (sorry if it's too much info). I did pick them up from a local consignment store second hand for only like $7 though so I decided to just hold onto them and wear them once in a while (on Wednesdays at my job we wear red). This is my first time pairing them with

rosy gold & feeling the glow.

I love the feeling of fresh washed, soft, long curly hair. I've been growing out my hair for years and it was definitely worth the wait! I know that it's Monday and most people hate Monday's but today wasn't too bad. I feel like things are slowly working themselves out and it will all be revealed soon enough. In the meantime, my Big Trip is just a few weeks away and I am happily awaiting the vacation I've been dreaming of for a long, long, long, time! It's been cold the last few weeks, especially for AZ but it is supposed to warm up this week so I layered with a lightweight tunic top with poet sleeves and my trusty purple suede moto jacket (I love this thing). I wore boots earlier in the morning but swapped them out for my rose gold clogs for the sunny afternoon (plus I was out in the field running around for work so I didn't want to wear sandals earlier). Hope you enjoy this pretty simple but fun Monday look!   I'm wearing:

yellow & dinosaurs.

On the weekends, I like to wear one of my favorite hoodies ever--this cropped gray one with dinosaurs all over! This time, I matched it with a sweater dress underneath which was perfect for the chilly morning but it is definitely starting to get sunny & bright again now that it's afternoon!  I'm wearing: yellow jacket-poshmark, hoodie- marshall's, sweater dress-anthropologie, tights-target (old), clogs- swedish hasbeens 'lacey' Yes, my Swedish Hasbeens ARE cat-approved, in case you were wondering! I love how this color is between red and brown and such a great neutral. I got them at such a deal of a price on Poshmark and they are super comfy. Do you ever wear dinosaur or novelty print hoodies or sweaters on the weekend? I think I have a thrifting run in my near future (later today) so I will update my store & let you guys know on my insta and possibly on here (if you are interested) in my latest finds! I have added about 10 new items to my s

soft grunge & green.

Image
I've always been really inspired by the 'soft grunge aesthetic' but I don't usually incorporate in my work outfits. Today I did! It has been super rainy (it's raining in these pics) and I've been listening to TONS of 90s music so this outfit really represents my current mood. It started around my camo tshirt dress and I got this  vintage sweater at a thrift store and just washed it for the first time and it came out great. I love that it has these button details down both sides. It really reminds me of a super cute Banana Republic sweater dress I saw a while ago on TME. Also it was super cold today so I threw on my velvet moto jacket and Kermit beanie for a bit of extra green (and warmth)! Happy Friday!  I'm wearing: camo dress- marshall's, sweater- vintage, jacket- blanc noir (poshmark), leggings- marshall's, boots- doc marten X lazy oaf, beanie - birthday gift (from amazon) Are you guys inspired by soft grunge? How do you dress when
