birthday boots.

 As you may or may not know, yesterday was my birthday! I always buy myself one thing I really want and this year, it was these bow doc marten boots that I was dreaming of for month and found back in stock last week (by luck) on 6pm! They were all sold of my size on the DM site, and I knew I really wanted the white color because I am seeing white boots everywhere and I was itching to try the trend for myself. Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love my 3D flower doc martens but these are a totally different vibe and I think they round out my collection really nicely! They are a bit more subtle and would be better with funkier outfits when the flower boots kind of steal the whole show typically! I got mine HERE  where they are a pinch more money (still on SALE though) but way more size availability!

I haven't worn this t-shirt yet, I was saving it for Spooktober. I have worn it a few times for the gym and also Netflixing (duh).
I last wore my thrifted denim skirt HERE with black clogs and a corset-inspired thrifted top!
I last wore my leather hat HERE with a very popular and beloved PacMan look!

I also wore my red crossbody bag yesterday, so no need to link it up!
 
 You might have guessed that I love bows and girly details, especially on shoes. I first saw these docs on a French theater teacher's Instagram and wanted them really badly!
 As far as reviews go and comparing them to my other docs , these had ZERO break in time. The leather is much thinner and form fitting. It sounds weird, but they almost fit like ice skates so they are perfect for my thin ankles! The other more traditionally thick leathered docs that I have were the WORST to break in, they are still not fully broken in after (two I think) years, and I need to wear thick socks to pad my ankles since they gap a bit. I'm not dissing my other ones, I love them to pieces and they are my #1 compliment-inducing fashion item I've EVER owned in my life (people literally turn heads and stop me to ask me about them EVERYWHERE and my husband beams proudly as I discuss the boots), I'm digressing. I love these. They are more simple, more subtle, match pretty much anything I could think of and would not be pattern clashing as much as I think the others have the potential to do. They are SO comfortable!

 Oh, did you think I only got one pair of bday boots? Well, I actually got two. The second pair is from my parents! They let me order one pair of Uggs every year and I absolutely fell for these hiker-inspired boots in a rich green! I love them SO much and they are 100% weatherproof!
I definitely recommend them for colder and stormier climates but also they are so ON TREND, I mean, I'm seeing hiking boots all over the darn place! You can buy them HERE if you're interested.
