March Madness.
March was full of some adventures, including my first ever Estate Sale outing. I became hooked on the Dr. Marten Re-Release of the Elphie style (below), the Elphie II and managed to get a pair in black and also the pearly pink (which is stunningggg)!
White Lotus this season is...a LOT..and I almost enjoy the recaps and reading people's analysis as much as watching the actual show!Being able to make my own chocolate mousse pie has really been a gamechange (above) it is also a No-Bake, which is a huge plus! And who doesn't LOVE an oreo crust? Also, VERY easy to make gluten-free versions with gluten-free oreos! Just as yummy. These two dresses were a bit of a decision. Dangerfield was having a huge sale, and I am really enamored by Australian sizing! It fits me so much better than USA sizing. Plus, most of their stuff is 100% cotton or linen blend! They have so many fun and cute things, it's a bit overwhelming, but I ended up liking these two dresses the most.
I just love bows, I don't care that they are a 'trend'--I'm holding onto the style for the long haul! You know I love feeling like Enid from Ghost World in a sailor top and leopard moment!Pizza, please!
Here are the Elphie II doc martens again! I'm usually an 8.5 in other brands, and the 8 definitely feels right! I can also wear them with socks without trouble, which is perfect for Fall and Winter.
Love a Chinese Lunch Special and a funny little fortune!
Why do all Chocolate Chip Cookie recipes make enough for a village? In this case, they were a good amount to bring up North to my in-laws...And of course, the highlight of every in-law visit is seeing YETI! Axel's nephew! I love this little guy so much. He is such a sweet boy and a great companion to my Mother-in-Law!
More Elphie II style (with the pink pair)Ruby (my parents' dog) and Axel being up to no good...I'm thinking of selling these Bed Stu boots I got on eBay. They just feel a bit too faded out looking and the heel is so low/worn down that I feel like they don't even give me that cowgirl shape? I don't know if this makes sense, but it did in my head...I felt SO cute in this outfit! I love the proportions here. Note to self to repeat ASAP. Checked out some antiquing and estate sailing one weekend. It was a blast! This was the look for teh estate sale...My husband hated it, but I felt very cute (and covered up)! The main score I found was this 3 piece vintage silk Asian-inspired set with a kimono! It is the most beautiful teal crushed velvet! I think it just might be perfect for the White Lotus Finale party! Especially since Thailand? Kimono? Seems very resort-y to me!I love the glittery hearts in this secondhand anthro sweater vest that I got on consignment!I may not make the most complex and impressive meals, but I do know my way around a stellar sandwich architecture! (above) Always cooler with a leather jacket, amirite? We love getting Vietnamese takeout on lazy nights once in a while. The salad with noodles is my favorite. I am suddenly that much closer to becoming Curious George's man in the yellow hat, thanks to these Whitley Justin Boots that I found on Poshmark for a MAJOR deal!
This dress was also part of my Dangerfield order! I just LOVE the t-rex skeletons. They have the most fun addition to a 90's dress shape that I am also a total sucker for!
Below, I am still debating whether or not I like these Jeffrey Campbell Desierto boots. They just have such a weird angle to the heel! I also feel like every time that I try colorblock cowboy boots, I just don't like the way they look on me..
My first Run & Fly dress purchase was this crazy-fun Goose dress that I was influenced by an insta-friend to find for myself. I was very lucky to find it on sale on eBay, NWT!Taking Axel to restaurants like Cook & Craft is always a good time! Especially when they have a nice, quiet dog patio, and friendly staff.
What do you think of this denim trench/dress that I found on consignment? I think it's pretty cute. A short dress/tall boot combo always makes me feel confident and cute. Chompie's is one of the few places around me that I can always rely on for Egg Bagels (my fave)!I tried on this dress again because I might sell it. It always seems to pucker and wrinkle in weird spots, even when I steam it. Plus, it has static cling.
This Shakespeare tee was also part of the Dangerfield order! I am a HUGE Shakespeare nerd/ former drama kid. I also went to theater camp.
NEW novelty bag addition: The Kate Spade Grapefruit Slice! From Poshmark. It is smaller than I expected, but big enough to fit the necessities. Plus, with my grapefruit tree, it felt like a no-brainer when I got a good offer from the seller! I'm so pleased with the way my Novelty bag collection has been shaping up. It gives me a lot of joy (and compliments). So...I've wanted this jacket for ages! I found it SUPER cheap on depop, but the seller said it was RED and this is CLEARLY brown? Brown? Right??? MAYBE a reddish brown for VERY VERY slightly on the red spectrum. Unless it is a me thing? What do you guys think?I DO really love the star details on the back. It was originally sold at Free People and is over $350 originally...
My first outing with my grapefruit slice bag (above)I had to get a Lobster Roll! It had been too long...I found this really cute heart headband at Target on clearance and decided to take it home wiht me.
LAST addition to the Novelty Bag collection this month... unexpectedly found this super rare chocolate-box inspired heart bag by Kate Spade that has little truffles printed inside! My fave detail.
