dead-y bear.

Image
The mask is called 'deddy bear' so I can't take credit. I got it for a few bucks at the supermarket clearance section at Safeway a few years ago and since it scared my really young neighbors and they hated it, I figured it would be perfect for an at-home-quarantined-Halloween and a few good shots for the blog & instagram!  The best part is that everything I'm wearing is things I already owned and it still looks like a pretty thought out and matchy costume in my opinion! pre-Halloween vibes.

It was a 'zombie' theme for the style challenge this moth today and I went with Beetlejuice vibes because the ghost/zombie football team always makes me laugh. Axel is a special guest. I wore a mask because I have an appointment with my new blood specialist for my anemia after this photoshoot!  Plus it adds a spooky element. To me. This look and my harley quinn inspired look are probably my two faves this month so far! I can't believe I never wore this combo dress and jacket before...I love it together! stranger things soon...

Image
I'll say it again...I am SO glad it's jacket season again in the desert! One of my most loved is this red trench from early 2000 era anthropologie. I really was dying for it in high school but my mom thought the $190 price tag was stupid expensive and honestly, same! I found it on Poshmark many moons later! Anyone else excited for new Stranger Things? It's totally one of my fave Netflix shows. 'Dark' is a fab one too!  I'm wearing: red trench-elevenses (poshmark), last worn HERE leather hat-minnetonka (amazon) stranger things tee-target, last worn HERE choker-thrifted denim skirt-eBay, last worn HERE red doc martens-poshmark, last worn HERE

mummy vibes.

I am doing a style challenge and today's theme was 'mummy' inspired so here we go! I wore a layered long sleeve tee under a gauzy dress with my cream beret and displayed my new 'mum' status with Axel!  I'm wearing: beret-vintage (poshmark) sunglasses-balenciaga, thrifted l/s tee-thrifted smocked dress-fox's designer, last worn HERE blue docs-poshmark, last worn HERE

feeling prickly.

Image
It was a hard day with a surgical procedure for my Crohns. I'm very grateful it wasn't a larger and hospital-necessary thing that I had to do but I took these pcs before hand because well, I knew I would be wiped the heck out after. Also, I do like to wear 'happy clothes' when I am going through tough times. It's probably going to be at least a few weeks before I am feeling close to 100 but in the meantime, I will do my best to dress uplifting and demand lots of puppy cuddles from Axel! xx  I'm wearing: mustard pom hat-poshmark (target) cactus dress-miss patina, last worn HERE utility knit jacket-aeropostale (old) NEW to the blog (I had given it away and rebought it on Poshmark because I really loved it and got my newer size, the medium was way too big!) It's so much better when it's secondhand or created from things you already own (the best)! I just love this trend and it's something I want to keep and pass on to my future kids as well! Why wear insufferable and ill fitting boxed costumes that always cost at least 35 dollars and then you never wear them again? It's such a waste! Maybe it's not so bad after all that I was a witch almost every year when I was a little kid... Today though, I'm showing a cat idea with all stuff I already own!
