 As you may or may not know, yesterday was my birthday! I always buy myself one thing I really want and this year, it was these bow doc marten boots that I was dreaming of for month and found back in stock last week (by luck) on 6pm! They were all sold of my size on the DM site, and I knew I really wanted the white color because I am seeing white boots everywhere and I was itching to try the trend for myself. Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love my 3D flower doc martens but these are a totally different vibe and I think they round out my collection really nicely! They are a bit more subtle and would be better with funkier outfits when the flower boots kind of steal the whole show typically!  I'm proudly wearing my birthday beret! My husband got the BEST gifts this year, I am completely in love with his picks from Miss Patina ---my new favorite company ever for clothing! Last night was the celebration with my friends (which was SO nice and really fun) and tonight, my husband and I are going out with my mom and dad. I last wore my black & red clogs HERE with two other thrifted separates, coincidentally! I last wore my rust colored top (worn backwards) HERE with a midi skirt and Suzanne clogs!  It's almost my 31st birthday! Tomorrow is the official day but most of my festivities with my friends are tonight and I'm looking forward to celebrating. My parents just got back from D.C. (they stayed way longer than us) so tomorrow, we will go somewhere nice with them most likely! Here's my birthday dress's debut. I got it over the summer at the Anthropologie Sale!  I'm back from DC and matchier than ever in today's blog look! It's my birthday weekend and my energy is high and my excitement is palpable! My husband got me the absolute BEST birthday gifts that I am SO excited about and let me open them early tonight (I have 0 patience). I had an absolutely INCREDIBLE trip in DC, my family was warm and welcoming, the wedding was old school and tender, the sightseeing was fantastic, the food was delicious & the weather was SO refreshing in the 70s every day! Plus, we just missed the crazy downpour of rain by one day, which was super lucky! I wore these docs nearly every day of my travels and got a crazy flattering amount of compliments from so many people! One woman even identified the 3D flowers on the boots as Dogwood Flowers ! Isn't that epic? Doc Martens are even easy to wear on the airplane because they are super easy to unlace or wear loose/untied when you're in the security line. Yes, they are really hard to break...

 A lot of style challenges do this when the last day is a 'wildcard' day and the Sensible Fay's sweater week did this too! My Wildcard Sweater is an favorite from last year, my dinosaur print cropped hoodie with cozy fleece lining!
