Taking these pics was really tough. I've been feeling worse than I've felt in years. Absolutely godawful food poisoning and the worst pain, bloating, nauseau and you-name-it for over 48 hours! Ugh. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The show must go on though, so I took literally about 10 minutes to shoot these as planned. I honestly really like this outfit and DEFINITELY want to wear this dress a lot more this Spring! I wore the dress as a top! I also just barely missed the rain with this shoot, look how gray the sky is! I'm super pleased how this outfit came together! The polka dot socks really added to it, I think! I can't stop pairing them with these clogs, it's such a good match.  I reassessed if I wanted to try to keep this dress again--I don't. I just can't deny that strapless dresses make me physically uncomfy so why wear something like that and force myself? It's still for sale in the shop! I've always been told not pair certain colors together because they 'clash' and purple and green was one of the first ones that came to mind when I came up with this 'mismatch march' challenge for this week (to end the month of March with some extra spice). I immediately thought 'Barney the Dinosaur' but some of my lovely instagram community members reminded me of the other FABULOUS purple and green things...The Joker, Malificent, fields of lilac... Happy Wednesday! I managed to catch a rare window right before the rain came down for today's shoot!  I don't often wear neutrals but I was really pleased with how this look came together and the cactus purse adds just a hint of color, as well as my blue pearl necklace! All month, these 2 women on instagram have been hosting a 'March of Denim' challenge where you gradually add denim pieces to your outfit/looks each week of the month. I've had a few looks and they were fun but this one really pushed me to be creative and wear as much denim as possible without doubling up jackets and shirts!
