almost leo season.

I feel like Memorial Day is the unofficial start of Summer, especially here in Arizona, where school is out for the rest of the year until August! It is a great time to be a teacher! This was kind of a spontaneous outfit, it has been hot in the afternoons and I was helping my husband harvest tomatoes and we just kind of have a Saturday planned with house errands, chores, and eating delicious Thai leftovers for lunch from last night! I found this Free People tank top a while ago, a lucky thrift and I thought about poshing it but once I tried it on and showed my husband, I knew I had to keep it! It's great for the gym too. I just knotted up the straps so that it's not a crazy situation in the arm holes!   I'm wearing : feed the children charity sunglasses, free people tank (available HERE ), Zara jeans, swedish hasbeens clogs (papillon bow) leiberskind berlin bag-thrifted  Behold, a rare sighting of my fave Leo, my husband, in the wild! pac-man dress.

Happy Friday! Today is still Phoenix Fan Fusion (formerly Comic-Con) & I've gone before and had fun but I'm not going this year but still representing with my Pac-Man dress! The weird/cool thing about the dress is that instead of PacMan or Mrs. PacMan, it is actually a Mario head and there are a few random Princess Peaches scattered throughout the print as well. I think this was done accidentally, I'm not sure, it was a Christmas gift from a few years ago that I found from some random Asian label on Amazon and I honestly really love it. This also seems like a good post to remind all of you fellow clog fans that Sven is having a HUGE Memorial Day Weekend sale with 20% off all clogs including closeout sales ! Lots of deals to be had, you can even snag a pair like my new ones I'm wearing today for way cheaper than usual!   I'm wearing: sunglasses-pacsun (old), dress-ladyqueen, bag-coach (2nd hand), Sven clogs  Did you grow up playing Mario ...

The style prompt for #simplystyledmay today is 'YOLO', You Only Live Once. I think with Memorial Day ahead, it's more important to remember that we only have one life (at least in the body we are born into) and what we do with it and how we give, sacrifice, or succeed effects others and can make us heroes, it can make us nurturers, it can make us great and memorable. I try to do the right thing and keep kindness and support present in most of my actions, day to day. I also have recently been back to my personal writing, which feels SO fulfilling. I hope you all keep safe, enjoy your three day weekend, and give a few minutes (or more) to thank the fallen heroes, veterans, & active military that Memorial Day represents .  I'm wearing : jacket-blanc noir (poshmark), dress- sanctuary (marshall's), necklace-gift, hat-eBay, sunglasses- balenciaga (thrifted), yellow clogs-swedish hasbeens (eBay) buy them in RED, sz 39 HERE  or BLACK, sz 38 HERE  I ...

silver & red.

I don't know what it was about yesterday but after blogging and reflecting I got SO inspired and di a whole bunch of personal writing projects which felt THE BEST and I am so re-inspired today, since I woke up this morning. I'm feeling newly positive and ready to face the challenges ahead. Also, anybody else just really feeling Summer sneaking in? I decided to go with red & silver for today, I had a really cute red & gold look last week and I was feeling like doing a fresh take with different items and a similar vibe. I also realized after I got dressed that both my shirt and jeans are thrifted so that felt pretty cool too! I love thrifting. I Haven't been going very much (I think I went one or two times briefly) since I took medical leave from my job but hopefully, once I'm feeling better I can do some summer closet revamping? Like I mostly just want a few cute sleeveless tops and maybe one or two fresh summer dresses? We'll see!  I'm wearing: t-s...

Some of my outfits are pretty exciting but this one is definitely very casual. I think it's important to dress for the life you live to some extent. It is definitely fun to play a character and be 'extra' or over the top with fashion and style (and I do that sometimes) but this week, I'm showing off some of my basics and taking satisfaction ins some looks that are simple, that are real, and that are easy to copy or take inspiration from for the day to day grind. I'm also definitely beating myself up A LOT today and not feeling as confident as usual because I very stupidly cracked my phone screen pretty badly. I know it happens all the time to tons of people but why does it feel like such a personal fail? Anybody else go through this?  I'm wearing: bag-kate spade (outlet), top- express (thrifted), jeans-hudson (second hand), cactus necklace-gift, balenciaga sunglasses (thrifted), Sven diamond clogs HERE c/o (gifted)  Maybe I have a (cracked) case of t...

date night for clog-eralla.

Back in 2012, before I even went on my clog journey, Loeffler Randall (luxury designer) teamed up with Sven Clogs (one of my favorite shoe companies at the moment for very good reason) for a killer collab and these babies were on my wishlist for the longest time! I really wanted them in yellow but they were impossible to find and when I found them on eBay, super reasonably priced in gold (even though I have way too many metallic clogs) I couldn't resist the opportunity to add them to my collection! They are SO beautiful. The only flaw in my mind was that the underside of the gold leather ties was gray, and didn't look good at all in my opinion, so I leather painted the inside of the ties rosegold to (corny pun incoming) tie it all together.  There are just a few pairs for sale right on Poshmark, if you want to try your luck!   I got my dress SO cheap ($35) at one of those Anthropologie extra 25% off sales a while ago and it was so great to bring on my Europe tr...
