The style prompt for #simplystyledmay today is 'YOLO', You Only Live Once. I think with Memorial Day ahead, it's more important to remember that we only have one life (at least in the body we are born into) and what we do with it and how we give, sacrifice, or succeed effects others and can make us heroes, it can make us nurturers, it can make us great and memorable.
I try to do the right thing and keep kindness and support present in most of my actions, day to day. I also have recently been back to my personal writing, which feels SO fulfilling.

I hope you all keep safe, enjoy your three day weekend, and give a few minutes (or more) to thank the fallen heroes, veterans, & active military that Memorial Day represents.

 I'm wearing: jacket-blanc noir (poshmark), dress- sanctuary (marshall's), necklace-gift, hat-eBay, sunglasses- balenciaga (thrifted), yellow clogs-swedish hasbeens (eBay) buy them in RED, sz 39 HERE or BLACK, sz 38 HERE

 I always liked the Papillon Bow style Swedish Hasbeen clogs. I used to have a black pair with a medium heel but the construction just wasn't right and the staples were faulty (fell out). They were kind of in the back of my mind for a while but I recently found these beautiful low heeled in my size on eBay. They were marked down really low for having visible glue on the white leather, so I got them and gave them new life with some yellow leather paint. I definitely encourage and recommend buying a nude or white pair of clogs or leather shoes that you love and then giving them a custom makeover in a color that you love more. I've done it plenty of times and it is easy and fun (like painting).

I'm mostly wearing camo or red, white, & blue this weekend for Memorial Day (I have some plans and a BBQ I'm looking forward to).
