the great outdoors...GLAMPING

We started a new tradition for the last few years where for my husband's birthday, we have a bunch of friends and families rent cabins for a few nights at the end of July and do the Glamping thing.
Going to higher ground when it is unbearably hot in Phoenix has been lovely!
Having Axel and Yeti come with us is also a huge plus.

The cabins themselves feel nothing like 'roughing it' since they have all the amenities including shower, kitchenette, fridge, microwave (stove in some but not all), bbq, and comfy beds.
We always overpack and go to Costco first to fully stock up on lots of food and snacks.

Axel loves it here and gets really tired from all the running around. They even have a cute enclosed dog park where he can get his Zoomies out!
Bugs are one of the downsides.

We also love to play board games and cards with our friends and family on the screened in porches. Some favorites are Yahtzee, Fluxx, and Kings in the Corner.
Not a chef? There are also two restaurants and a General Store that are walking distance from the cabins!

Above, some creme brulee pots from Costco that we served on the first night and below, a little truffle box that my husband surprised me with that was the perfect treat to enjoy with coffee and a cozy book.

Have you ever been glamping? Do you prefer regular camping or a more luxury version? xx
