the lazy oaf poodle dress

Having a black standard myself, and having also had one for 16 years (RIP) before him, I did a second take instantly when this Lazy Oaf poodle print derpy dress popped up on my feed! It says it's a size Large, but honestly feels like it was shrunk in the dryer or altered. I just love the idea of it so much, but I don't know if it is truly for me. Here is my attempt at styling it and wearing it for the first time!

 What do you think? Should I try to alter it? Should I keep trying? Wear it with jeans (it's really short)? What would you do? Maybe I should have it turned into a set? A top and skirt? I'm open to ideas! xx
