the rest of February...(more hearts, please)
I definitely have penchant for hearts and quite a collection of heart-centric pieces in my closet! Things only got more intense when I realized I was going to be a Valentine's Day bride, and the collection really ramped up in 2015 (when I set my wedding date, which was in 2016)! Valentine's Day being my anniversary makes it even better! The first photo is a lot of Lazy Oaf. These two shots (above and below) are showcasing a thrifted skirt and an eBay find--vintage Diesel silky heart lollipop blouse that I've had for years! The bag was a hyperfixation for me that I tracked down after a lot of searching online and price gauging on a lot of sites--this was a super fair price! It's actually Coach's collab with Obseved By Us, which was brought to popularity randomly enough by Kirsten Dunst!
Another recent heart fixation that I was able to procure from the MadeMe site, was this really rare steel toe edition of Doc oxfords with a HEART cutout! In a beautiful silver with both black and purple laces to change out as I please. I added this oversized dress and vintage denim jacket for a mostly thrifted look. I'm also recently obsessed with 90's era barrettes like this that remind me of my childhood and actually don't snap from my super-thick hair!
One of my instagram friends actually got me into this Run & Fly UK brand (the pinafore)! I found this one for a great price on eBay. I love the organic material and generous fit, fun prints, and branding. I absolutely REFUSE to support Lucy & Yak, even secondhand, because of all of their controversy and general feelings of Greenwashing.
My heart wedding boots paired well with this 90s Wilson Maxima dress I recently thrifted. THe brown lace is so flirty and unexpected. It gives me that grunge feeling!
Axel and I posed with this cute little backdrop!
What did you do for Valentine's Day? Do you enjoy hearts? xx
