'rainy' day.

I love TME (it's no secret) and there Style Challenges have been so much fun this year. When I told my husband about the rainy day style challenge for the first week of the challenge, he proposed that we do a 'fake rain' shoot and he wired up special effects with the hose and the roof--it was fun! I honestly do enjoy wearing light and bright colors in the rain because it doesn't rain very often or for very long in AZ so this outfit would definitely be an authentic rainy day look for me! I love wearing my cowboy boots or riding boots (when it's colder) in the rainy weather because they keep my feet very dry and I'm just not a wellington boots (especially Hunter boots) kinda gal. I also saw this style challenge as the perfect opportunity to wear my new rain jacket (I bought it a while ago on Poshmark). I wanted to bring this coat on my Europet trip but it was too bulky when folded in my suitcase and my purple suede biker jacket had top packing priority (it was cold there). I think this Spring and Summer this jacket would be more of a go-to and because it does have that looser bf-style fit (the waist is also fully adjustable) it would be great next Fall and Winter to layer with sweaters and heavy items for extra warmth. I do tend to get sick of winter coats after a few years so maybe I will post some of my older coats on Poshmark this summer! DO definitely CHECK OUT MY CLOSET as soon as you've got a chance because I am posting 50+ NEW LISTINGS at great prices!
I'm wearing: raincoat- somedays lovin' (poshmark), top-free people (thrifted), skirt (thrifted), boots- corral, umbrella- super old (Daffy's)

What do you wear in the rain? What's your go-to rain coat? Do you ever fake rain or special effects for photo shoots? Will you be doing the TME style challenge this April? xx

  1. It rains constantly where I come from, but in addition to rain it's also freezing cold so I can only dream of wearing such nice, bright outfits. Your cowboy shoes looks great, btw!
