Any other comic book nerds out there? I recently got this tee in a bundle with my other comic book tee (here) on Poshmark and also couldn't resist picking up my favorite plaid skirt in this red color!  I'm wearing: thor tee-poshmark, skirt-target (poshmark), clogs-Sven Clogs, hat-minnetonka, glasses-dolce & gabanna It's definitely been hot enough to wear mini skirts and shorts most of the time but I hate shaving my legs so I mix up my style more...some days I'll just get dressed for fun and then spend the rest of the afternoon in the pool! xx

Anyone else grow up listening to Jason Mraz sing songs like 'geek in the pink?' Just thinking about some early teen music today! I actually wore most of the outfit HERE last time...cactus backpack, hot pink skirt, pink prairie top The clogs are NEW to me but secondhand from Poshmark! I got a great deal on them and I love the bronze color and medium height. I'm wearing : top-ae outfitters (thrifted), skirt-anthropologie (poshmark), bag-kate spade, sunglasses-won from instagram giveaway, earrings-gift, clogs-Sven Clogs (poshmark) 'lacy' style in medium heel in bronze metallic leather, cat barette-amazon Don't mind me, I'm just falling in love with my two newly bloomed sunflowers and sitting around sipping tea and eating leftover cake from my parents' 34th wedding anniversary!  Huge congrats to them. It was nice to celebrate together, even without hugs and in this post virus world...xx

I've always loved and supported all types of authors and diverse characters in books and 'Hot. Sour. Salty. Sweet.' by Sherri L. Smith was my latest read that I finished yesterday and I loved the way she told the story of these multiracial families, their histories, their struggles and victories!  Here's my quick outfit shoot I did in a rush before heading to the doctor to finally get lab work done for my Chrohn's Disease that I have literally been putting off since March... This virus has increased my anxiety and fear of public places and I have an extreme distrust of medical practices that refuse to have their employees wear masks...don't get me started. I'm hoping for healing for everyone, myself included! It's Monday again! I had the nicest Zoom 'tea time' with my librarian friend from my hometown area and it felt great to catch up. I got these gorgeous yellow clogs for the Memorial Day Sale (I skipped the leopard) and I'm so glad I did! I'm just all about the shape and color. I think they are a fantastic addition to my clog collection! You can see the whole lot if you scroll down to the bottom of my blog! I last wore my lemon skirt HERE I don't think the cami is worth linking, it's mostly a layering piece and it's not really super exciting to me! I'm wearing: cami-thrifted, skirt-the limited (poshmark), clogs-sven clogs (closed diamond strap sandal in low heel), earrings-gift from my bff, sunglasses-pac sun (old) I hope that you have a nice (and safe!) start to your week, especially if your job is just reopening, as I am hearing from a lot of my friends. ON A VERY SERIOUS NOTE:  I am coming forward and saying, yes, I took a 7 day full break from Instagram and blogging/social media to really focus on educating myself and keeping on top of the awful news and what is going on in the headlines.  I am hearing a call to police reform and end to antiracism . I am fully on the side of the Black Lives Matter movement. As a white woman, I know my voice is not a loud one and should not be a loud one .  I take my responsibility as a white ally very seriously. I am demanding change in my country that has demanded equality and promised freedom in it's constitution.  It makes me sick, sad, and deeply troubled the way that so many police officers have gotten away with murder , mistreatment and blatant racism for so many years.  It is time for 2020 to bring us ALL peace, equality, & justice.  One of the coolest fundraisers I've seen so far that doesn't require physical donations of money if you are low on funds rig...
