healing feelings.

Right before my surgery, I did a bit of stress shopping. One of those purchases was a bundle deal of these too Bali by Elf princess dresses that were new with tags. One in white and one in black. Between the back party, lined linen breezy feel, and super puffy sleeves, I'm sold. I'm not sure quite when and where I will wear these yet...but I'm looking forward to making places and events to wear these and twirl around in! I really do love both colors! This was my first foray into the brand (below) this short version of the white dress with a higher cut back and asymmetrical hem.  I wore this outfit on my last night before the surgery, September 16, when I was allowed to eat solid food before doing my full cleanse. If you're curious as to WHAT my 'last meal was,' it was grilled ahi tuna and macaroni and cheese. So good! Here I am in the hospital, feeling dazed and out of sorts after the eight hour procedure. I was on a lot of medication and in MAJOR pain. It felt ...

days away.

Tomorrow, I start my 24-hour+ fast before my Wednesday surgery. I have a lot of feelings. I'm eager, anxious, hungry for all the food I've missed eating these five weeks on this restrictive diet. I feel lucky that my pain will (hopefully)be addressed and treated very soon...lucky for all of the love and support on my side that has been crucial for getting through this! I've also fallen in more love with fashion, clothing, expressing my style in a way that feels playful and happy during these emotional and trying times in my life. Soon, I will hit 1000 outfits documented on here and my Lookbook. I cannot believe that! Feels pretty wild to me, but also exciting. I enjoy looking back and remembering highs and learning experience looks in my past. Outfits are tied to memories, to feelings, to places and sensory input... This was my first time wearing my newer Maguba rio wedges out and my mom insists that they are NOT clogs because they are wedges and we got into a friendly deba...

vet-appropriate doggy dress!

here's a basic look (above) with a go-to leopard skirt and some well-worn pieces thrown together Do you have any 'saved searches' online for things you specifically have been searching for (sometimes years)? For me, it's Lazy Oaf heart things! This set in MY SIZE is to die for. I absolutely love it and am so tremendously happy to add it to my collection. Got it on Poshmark and went back and forth to get a bit of a better deal for the pieces from the seller, I'm very happy with the price in the end because I'm seeing people sellling just the jacket or jeans for over one hundred dollars...I didn't spend so much as that! I guess it's a rarer older style and this one was new with tags, never worn. I especially love that the jeans have elastic inserts in the sides of the waist for an even better fit! They are so dreamy. I love both pieces so much together AND separate. To this day, my heart raincoat/hat set is my MOST COMPLIMENTED wardrobe item in my whole cl...

barbie girl?

It may be considered gouache and basic to dress like a barbie for the movie viewing, but I just love a theme and I ran with it!   As for the actual movie? I didn't love it but I liked it! It was entertaining, did what it was supposed to and often slapped you in the face with just how much of a commercial it was (Mattel was part of the production process). The actors were good, the casting was overall really good. The only part I would've personally preferred was for Ken to be Zac Efron--that's my two cents. I just don't really enjoy Ryan Gosling very much personally. He's not my fave and he definitely didn't feel like a match for Margot Robbie, but maybe that was part of the point? If you saw it and want to chat about it, feel free to leave me a comment! I don't want to spread any spoilers or plot reveals in my post! I guess I would say, go see it if you know what you're getting and you are okay with a corny, campy, heavy-musical-bubble gum pink shortish...
