when life gives you lemons...

 ...make Meyer Lemon Iced Pound Cake! I'm not super into lemonade, I prefer lemon cake ;)

I'm excited because my husband is taking to a surprise dinner and staycation (just for one night, I haven't been feeling very well or up for very much in general)! I hope you are all having a great weekend. I feel especially productive today because I listed 21 new items from my 'death pile' and roughly 1/3 through the stack my sister and mom gave me so here's hoping I'll get it all up and sold within the next couple of weeks!  I actually got my lemon skirt from Poshmark too! I saw it years ago at the Limited and haven't forgotten about how cute it was. I used to have the blouse version of the collection but of course, it is huge now and I sold it ages ago so it seemed like a good time to pick up the skirt in my new size! I love it!
I did first try wearing it with a yellow top and it was just TOO much so I think navy is perfect  for the top. I also think it would look good with cream, white, and maybe tan or beige, something neutral. Maybe even olive to pick up the green, I'm not sure. My favorite items are the ones that I can wear lots of different ways! And of course a skirt with pockets is always a win!

    Once again, you're working that yellow! Oh man, meyer lemons are so much better than the ones at my grocery store. Every time I visit California I have to pick some lemons and make fresh juice, mmm.
    The navy blue top looks really well coordinated and I do think olive green would be a fun color to wear with the skirt. I would end up just wearing my denim jacket with that skirt because I know myself, lol.

      Ooh I didn't think of that but a denim shirt would be super cute with it in the Fall! I know I tend to rewear the same few outfits that I love but I'm trying to push myself more this summer :) xx
