We celebrated my mom's birthday this year, lowkey at my parents' house and I made my tried-and-true chocolate mousse pie. This crochet granny squre sweater that I found at TJ Maxx has been something I've been reaching for all of the time. I love how it adds a bit of dopamine to every look I put it on with. My aunt from out of town bought me these earrings at a farmer's market, so I felt obligated to wear them in front of her. They are SO heavy! Where are my delicate-earlobe girls at? I can't wear anything that pulls my ears down from the weight for more than a couple hours. I try to avoid them at all costs! I DID MY FIRST POST-SURGERY hike! Sure, it was not the hardest, but it felt like a big step in going back to my pre-blockage life! It felt so good to be outdoors and active in this way. It is, of course, a big bonus that Axel enjoys hiking so much. I'm a little self conscious of how much chest this green thrifted dress shows, but that also makes it perfect ...

mid-November looks.

A quintessentially-me outfit with my cropped CarMar (consignment) leather jacket and a recently-acquired 80's acid wash denim Sundance skirt from eBay IN BREAKING JACKET NEWS: I have added this incredible Emerald green, shiny/glittery lambskin Leather Walter Baker jacket to my collection this week! It's a British brand, so sizing definitely runs small, it seems. Plus, it's a very body skimming, fitted style. I LOVE it. It actually has deep zip pockets and the snaps on the collar to keep it in place and not flying all over on a windy day. Trying it on with my yellow skirt also made me feel like a cartoon character, which was when I ultimately realized that Daria Morgendorffer (iykyk) has a VERY similar looking signature jacket. Plus, me personally, I've had a green moto jacket as a si...

I JUST HAD AN EPIPHANY that this (above) gold and pearl and rhinestone necklace is CHRISTIAN DIOR! I google image searched it and saw similar for upwards of $300+. I got it for $5 at Savers. Sure, the gold is flaking a bit in some places, from lots of wear. But the CD closure and design seems very legit, in my opinion! It's a special occasion necklace that I like to bring out for holidays and date nights every so often. I'm also starting to realize that I don't really enjoy wearing front-slit denim skirts, even though I have so many denim skirts and want to love all iterations. I Do like that they show off your shoes better--these from-Stockholm, Calou boots are too pretty, but I just think I like them better with non-slit front skirts. This is just a realization of my style and things I gravitate towards. I definitely fell a bit victim to the over-trending influx of cargo skirts ALL over my newsfeed and social media. I'm not sure if they are genuinely a style that'...
