No. 6 Clogs: 'Garcia'
The first photo is via the No. 6 Clogs website.
The 'Garcia' boot is sold out most places and you can see a listing for it HERE priced at $380 brand new retail!
That's a lot of clams, as they say.
I like the photo on the top left because it shoes a sock option for warmth but on the other website it shoes them without socks. I'm wearing them without socks today but it is a bit chilly this time of year to not wear socks. I'm curious to style them and try some tights and different vibes. They definitely look great with jeans.
They are comfortable but run a bit tight, I'm an 8-8.5 and my toe is pretty far in but they did fit better when I put some pads in under the ball of my foot! I have a high arch.
I know what you're thinking now, did I pay full price for these 'Park Slope Status Clog' Boots?
Well, brace yourself...
I paid FORTY DOLLARS on Poshmark!
Yes, very, very reasonable!
The only flaw is minor wear to the bottom and then two staples are missing from one inner arch on the boot but the leather is still VERY secure and it is not very noticeable!
PROS
-easy to break in
-lovely style and great moderate heel for a bit of height and style
-lovely leather and construction
-laces are long enough but not crazy long
-sustainable, small business that has ethical practices and makes products built to last
CONS
-the price (retail) is ultra high
-they run a bit small
-the black heel/colored wood shoes scratches and nicks a lot more than the natural wood color
-the tongue is short so some socks look awkward with it and you have a bit of exposed front foot top that is unusual (at least to me) for boots
-they are unlined inside so not the warmest ever
OVERALL
-I love them and they are different than all of my other boots
-They would be great for a professional setting or casual lifestyle too
-They are a classic silhouette that seems timeless
-I love supporting Sven Clogs and this is their sister brand
-If you can buy them used or discounted I definitely recommend No. 6 boots!
Do you own any?
