 This week's TME challenge is to wear barrettes! I do have a quite an assortment of barrettes, especially since my hair is SUPER LONG but for this challenge, I had to go with my giant cat one from my birthday present that has the cutest pearl nose. My Totoro Dress from ages ago just seemed like a natural match to piece together the rest of the look. I'm slowly approaching my third week post-surgery and my doctor even said it is a good time to expand my diet again! I couldn't be more thrilled to be eating watermelon, carrots, salads, and a lot of those fibrous foods that I've been told to avoid for so long! Tonight, my mom and I are going to bake some salmon and put together a Mediterranean-inspired salad with crumbled feta. Last night was gorgeous and super rainy. It was so soothing to just lay in bed and listen to the rain. The puffy clouds today seem extra full and pretty too in the blue sky. I'm looking forward to good things ahead.  Today, I debuted my NEW silver bow tie clogs c/o Sven! I just got them in the mail this week and thought they would look pretty cool with my bright yellow shirt I'm trying to wear more (I haven't worn it in months). Just a casual, Spring look in the desert! My husband scouted out this cute cactus-y spot in our neighborhood and took some fun photos for me! I'm feeling a lot better lately, it definitely is a big change for me being to sick to work right now and the whole ordeal and process of going through my emergency surgery (2.5 weeks ago now). It's just more important than ever to remind myself of the support I do have (which I am VERY grateful for) and the long road that is already behind me. Would you wear silver clogs?  You might have seen my Sven post yesterday, if not, check it out! Today I wanted to wear and start breaking in my gold halter top clogs and thought they would look really cool with some green. For the first time, I added together my fun sleeve camo shirt AND my plain basic camo t-shirt dress (I wore it a lot in the Fall and Winter with tights or sweaters) to create a new silhouette and I'm really happy with it!  Hello! Good news, everyone ( Futurama reference) Sven reached out to me and wanted to send me some clogs to try out and I couldn't be more excited! It's already too hot to wear jackets here in Phoenix but I wore my jacket for the photos and if I go out later to someplace with AC, I will definitely bring it along. I have had this matching denim set from Love Tree for about a year and have worn both pieces pretty often but haven't worn them together yet for an outfit so it felt the perfect challenge to put together for me! FINALLY after many years (since 2015) I've wanted to get these heart medallion clogs in a size 38. I had bought them in a 39 back in 2015 and tried to make them work but they just were too big and so I ended up reselling them and trying to search for my proper size ever since. It was such a great moment when I saw these in my size on Poshmark just a few weeks ago! These were my first ever clog purchase so they will always have a really special place in my collection. Also my heart. But they have hearts so I didn't want to be too corny. Honestly I'm obsessed with most heart detailed fashion items.
